Well, I had to change the headline of my blog because of the fact that I have now turned 45 years of age.  45 was hard.  I feel like I might as well be 50!  Anyway, I wanted to share with you some fun things I did for my birthday.

First of all, I went to see a matinee showing of "Julie & Julia".  It was cute.  One thing is for sure - you don't want to see it on an empty stomach.  They make the food look so good!!

My favorite part about it was seeing it with my mom.  We don't get to do things like that often.  It was a great way to start my birthday.  Another fun part was that I decided to go off my diet
for that day so I got movie theater popcorn with lots of butter.  It was dee-lish!!!
I thought I was going to be alone the rest of the day but as soon as Tayler caught wind of that she would have nothing to do with it so we went to the store, got a bunch of junk food, met Jarom at my house, worked a jigsaw puzzle, and ate junk.  WOO HOO!  I loved it!  I am so grateful for Tayler and Jarom.  They saved my day.  They are so wonderful!
I am a lucky lady:):)

After Tayler and Jarom left I got a surprise visit from Jackie.  She came over with a dozen red roses and a piece of red velvet cake (that is my favorite cake :0).  We had a GREAT time visiting, watching game shows on TV,
and working the jigsaw puzzle until 1:30am.
She is such a great, sweet, thoughtful friend.  I love her so much!  Because of schedule problems we rarely get to spend time together anymore.  Just spending quality, fun time with her was enough of a birthday gift for me.

Just when you think my birthday celebration should be over Kacy surprised me the following Saturday and took me to Sea World!!
She knew I had been wanting to go there for soooooo long.  It was a blast!!!  It wasn't even that hot.  Every show gets you so wet and there was a breeze so the heat was not a problem.  I loved seeing all of the shows.  Especially the pet show.  It was adorable!!   That was so sweet of Kacy to do.  I will never forget that day.  We went with her 6 year old son Josiah.  It was so much fun watching him have fun.

He is such a nice, loving, sweet boy.  I want to adopt him but Kacy won't let me.

Speaking of nice, sweet, and loving ... Kacy is all of that and more.  Once again, I am a lucky lady.  I want to go again.  I will be able to because when you go to Sea World they give you a pass to go anytime the rest of the year!  I am so excited about that.  My caregiver gets in for free too.  Anyone interested?! I went off my diet that day too.
YUM!  I felt pretty guilty though. :/

Have I mentioned I am a lucky lady??!!!  Thank you again to Mom, Tayler, Jarom, Jackie & Kacy for making my birthday so unforgettable.  I am forever grateful!!  (I only gained 1 pound too)

Now I have to backtrack a little.  Some of you may not know this about me but I am a jigsaw puzzle freak!!  I LOVE doing them so much!  The other day I was sitting in my house with Tayler and I mentioned how bummed I was that I didn't have a table at my house to do a puzzle on.  I knew I would be alone the rest of the day that day and I was itching to do a puzzle.  Well, Tayler was done with her shift at my house and left.  The next thing I know she returned about 15 minutes later with a card table to do my puzzles on.  She had gone to Jackie's house to get a card table and brought it to me.  WHAT A DOLL SHE IS!!  Needless to say, I went crazy with puzzles after that.  I ended up having to put the card table away because I will only do a brand of puzzles called Springbok and each one is about $15 so I put the table away before I went broke.  Here are some pics of the puzzles I did... just humor me:)

The other day Tayler could see I was feeling down.  I was tired of going from one doctor's appointment to the next so she treated me to a movie.  She took me to go see "Up".  I had already seen the movie but I liked it so much I wanted to see it again.  I love Tayler so so so much.  She is so good to me.  We had a great time:)

This weekend 5/16/09.

I'm excited about this weekend.
I'm going to the "Great Strides" walk that I go to annually to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.  It is held at DeAnza Cove at Mission Bay.  It's a nice walk (or wheel in my case).

I'm also going to a Padre game on Saturday night.  I am really looking forward to it.

I am so fortunate to have the mom I do.  She came over to my house and did her version of "Extreme Home Makeover".  It was amazing!  I should have done before and after pics but I flaked.  Just take my word for it.  The before pictures would have been pretty sad.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the after pics.  The first picture is of my bedroom / living room.  I never want to get out of bed now.  It is soooo comfy.

Henry doesn't want to get off the bed either:)

Tayler went upstairs and took a sky view pic.

This new little set up is in my bedroom.  My mom made my whole home feel very cozy.

This area was once very cluttered and hard to figure out.  Thanks Mom!!!  I love you!!!

Jackie and I spent from April 14th thru April 17th together.  It was just girl time.  As I have said many times before, I am very fortunate to have her in my life.  Thanks Jackie - I love you.  Here are some pics from our time together.
Nothin' like some good Cribbage and Gin Rummy games.
Outback Steakhouse is finger lickin' good.
I was freezing!

My last PT session.

Well, today was my last day at physical therapy for quite awhile.  I have not made enough improvement for my insurance to approve my going.  This is very sad news for me.  Although PT is difficult sometimes I know it's good for me.  My therapist told me I have a 4 month period to prove to him/my insurance company that I mean business.  I am going to be spending a majority of my time going to a gym in La Mesa that focuses on people with disabilities to strengthen myself.  This gym has a lot to be desired but it is better than nothing.  I need to commit myself to improving.  I am scared but I don't have an option. These pictures were taken by Kacy at my PT session today.  It may not seem like it in these pictures but the pain was horrible.  He uses this machine to stretch my ankle and leg.  HELP!!!

My mom is on a puppy crusade.  She has 2 brand new puppies named Chanel and Dolly.  She also has another dog named Gucci.  These dogs have it made in the shade.  She spoils them rotten.  Of course, I do the same with my Henry.  The other day Lahren, Jackie, Grant, Tayler (along with her new puppy "Kronk"), and I went to visit my mom and dad and their new brood. We had a good time with all the babies.  Here is a picture of Grant with Dolly and Kronk.  Fun stuff:):)

It is unbelievable to me that I have had a blog for this long and I haven't posted any pictures of the love of my life - Mr. Henry Garcia Rosa.  My Bichon Frise.  I can't imagine life without him.  I love him so so so much.  Here are a few pics.  Just indulge me:)
Was just groomed.

This is my favorite pic of him.  It really seems to show his personality.

On Friday, March 20th we celebrated Randy's birthday. We had dinner at a place called C-level. It was the perfect place to celebrate his birthday because he always loved the water. We had  beautiful view of the water and San Diego skyline from our table. The picture was taken from my seat at the table. It was WONDERFUL!

Although the reason for the dinner was somewhat sad it was nice to celebrate the life he had. We had a birthday cake for him, sang "Happy Birthday" and my dad blew out the candle. It was touching.

Kacy purchased some Orchids to have with us at the table. Orchids were Randy's favorite flowers. We tried to get them in as many pictures as we could. That was very sweet of Kacy to do. They were beautiful!
